Has The World Changed?

Our minister was preaching about the difference in kids fears today versus 40 yrs ago. He found a study that showed childrens biggest fears in the 1970s were animals, dark rooms, high places, loud noises and strangers. But when the study was done again 40 years later, the fears had radically changed.

That is why we want to be a part of the solution to some of these fears. We can help prevent and protect our children from molestation or being mugged by having our eyes wide open and seeing what is truly lurking in the dark.
End Sex Trafficking
Unfortunately "stranger danger" is no longer the ONLY danger our children have to deal with today. NOW it is the people that these children trust in many cases doing the damage by selling their own sister, daughter, grandchild out for sex into a perverse world of evil! NOT one child wants to be in a pornographic film. THEY are not there by choice!

Are We Alone In Caring About Sex Slavery?

We are absolutely not alone in caring about sex slavery and human trafficking.

There are many non govermental organizations that are dedicated to stopping sex slavery.

The Porch Light is such an organization.

"The Porch Light is bringing healing and hope to child victims of domestic sex trafficking. In the United States, there are teenagers who should be in classrooms and youth groups who are being forced to spend their days and nights in motels and dark homes. Florida has the third highest number of reported sex trafficking cases according to the National Human Trafficking Hotline (behind California and Texas). In 2014, The Porch Light opened a safe home where these innocent child victims could find emotional and physical healing."

Children deserve to be raised in a loving family. And it is our responsiblity to do whatever is in our power to end sex slavery and provide loving support to anyone who has been a victim of sex slavery and human trafficking.

We care deeply about eradicating sex slavery.

According to the State Department's 2016 Trafficking In Persons Report:

"The United States is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, transgender individuals, and children - both U.S. citizens and foreign nationals-subjected to sex trafficking and forced labor. " "Victims originate from almost every region of the world; the top three countries of origin of federally identified victims in fiscal year (FY) 2015 were the United States, Mexico, and the Philippines. Particularly vulnerable populations in the United States include: children in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems; runaway and homeless youth; American Indians and Alaska Natives; migrant laborers, including participants in visa programs for temporary workers; foreign national domestic workers in diplomatic households; persons with limited English proficiency; persons with disabilities; and LGBTI individuals.
